The flooding Red River

Standing on the Main Ave bridge between Fargo, ND and Moorhead, MN the water comes up to the bottom of the steel beams. The road and park are under about 20 feet of water as you can see by the light poles sticking out of the river. The next few days will tell whats in store for our area, hopefully the weather plays nice. Tomorrow the Red River is supposed to crest between 41-42 feet, which is more than a foot above the previous record set in the 1800’s.

Evacuated neighborhood in Moorhead

This neighborhood was asked to voluntarily evacuate from their homes in case the Red River broke through the dikes. As you can see it is very empty and quite. Creepy.
