Well the time has come for me to end my online silence and share with you my biggest digital undertaking to date. Today I present to you Who’s Got Room? Corp (www.whosgotroom.com) The quick and easy way to book hotels! Really, you can book a room anywhere at any time in three steps using Who’s Got Room? Click on the thumbnail below or just visit the site to take a look.
This project was conceived in February and has slowly been taking shape. Who’s Got Room? is a website for people to find the best deal on lodging right now. Our focus has been to provide people with the ability to find a hotel room on the go, quickly and easily.
Who’s Got Room? in its current form is only a scratch on the surface to what we are building. As of now our site is not much different than most of the other Hotel travel sites online. With that said this is not our primary goal but just our starting point. Throughout the next year we have multiple niche lines of services coming to benefit various kinds of people and organizations needing solutions to their Hotel and lodging demands.
I’d love to bore you all with what is coming but I am sticking to what is here already. Our entire focus is towards people needing rooms right now as well as for people on the move. Not long after this post goes live the mobile version of our site will be functioning for people with web enabled phones/PDAs.
In the beginning, when everything was manual and there was no way for us to make money off the service we thought that it would be just a cool idea to list hotels based on availability “right now.” Soon we realized it was too much to ask for hotels to constantly update their current availability so the site quickly lost relevance. I wish I would have figured this out before I called all the Fargo Hotels (now if only I ranked for my hometown…) to get them added onto our site. So we scoured for a suitable partner including all of the other good stuff like begging for money and figuring ways to cut costs and still make the site function.
When you find yourself in need for a Hotel don’t hesitate to use Who’s Got Room? With our Low Rate Guarantee you have absolutely nothing to lose. Overall I couldn’t be more excited and I really can’t wait for the additions to come as they are going to rock your world at some point. So stay tuned and remember Who’s Got Room?
Of course it goes without saying that I appreciate all your feed back and comments about the site.

Hello Josh!
Congrats on launching your new site! Looks great, and the best of luck to you.

Now this is a BIG TIME project that I can actually use and let me tell you my ideas my friend.
1) the wife and I often go downtown Chicago to hang out, shop, eat, drink, etc. More times than I can count, a single day trip went long and we ended up having to get a hotel downtown. This always ends up costing a lot because we basically just have to walk in somewhere and pay the going rate that day. But utilizing your service, i can just ring it up on my Blackberry, view choices, book and walk inside and checkin… now THAT is cool.
2) we like to drive south to see my family in Florida every summer. I know that most times, if things go well on the journey, I can make it from my house in Chicago area to about Knoxville, Tenn comfortably on day one. But I can’t book a hotel ahead of time because you never know if: a) I will actually make it that far… like if we decide to stop in Corbin, KY on the way and see the Colonel Sanders Museum for example… then I’d not make it all the way to Knoxville and lose my reservation. b) if I really “get on it” and we go way past Knoxville and i don’t wanna stop,,, same issue.
Now, with Who’s Got Room I can just break out the wireless air card for the laptop, or once again, use the blackberry, and get a hotel on the spot wherever I happen to be.
Those are two ways that I will def be using your site Josh. BTW– good to see you back and in the public eye. I kinda had a hunch that you were doing something big, but not this big, You are going up against the big boys and I really wish you the best. now, if you could just get William Shatner to do your commercials, you’d be all set!!!!
PS–affiliate program in the works? How about International hotels?

I will Tweet this to my 9 followers, LOL
AL
ah I found something useful on Facebook – believe it or not 2 years in I jsut figured out that “home” had up dates from all my “friends” – go figure!
Anyway – nice site – Allyn – it does include international – but its not obvious from the front page -just enter a city like Sydney
Josh – the Australian state codes aren’t 2 letter – Sydney, NW looks really, really weird – it should be NSW, Perth is WA not WT the other states are Qld, NT, SA, Tas – pain to parse I know.
Also some of us a cheap bastards – I always like a search by price …
@Hank, Thanks for the support.
@Allyn, You got the right idea. Our goal is to make the user exp super quick and easy for everyone especially the people on the go. We have some pretty cool ideas in the works (including an affiliate program) that I really cant wait to get going.
@Lissie, You are correct the search form isn’t really up to snuff for the international visitors and is on my list to fix a.s.a.p. I am glad you found the update on FB and stopped by to check it out.
Search by price is also coming soon because I use that type of sorting all of the time. And don’t forget soon down the road their will be an affiliate program
Congrats on the new project. I just checked it out for my hometown and it pulled up all of our local hotels and descriptions. The prices were front and center and I liked that.
Can’t wait to see where you take this project and the spinoff’s.
Interesting new project sounds exciting and challenging at the same time. Goodluck with it!
