Here is a quick video I did in response to people asking about how to get started in social media marketing. More people are jumping on the bandwagon and wanted advice on how to get started.
My number one piece of advice is to find what you can do as far as participating in social media and then leverage the others to help promote the area you excel in. Not everyone can write well, tweet well, do video well and you shouldn’t try to be the best in everything. I would find what you are good at and weave in all of the others social media/network areas.

Blogging is a game of inches, Josh. The real thing that people miss is to be a part of the community, and not just an annoying wedding guest that tries to sell people shit all the time.
@Chris, Absolutely. Barking at people wont get them to participate neither will you benefit from it in to the long run. Open discussion and mutual exchange is where it is at. I still don't have a problem with automating redundant tasks.
Actually, Social media is very helpful not just for rising traffic but also for hearing blog's readers,what do they like ? how do they think ?
@Joe, you are correct, social media and social networking is all about socializing. It isn't enough to just talk at people but to encourage the conversation to continue.
