I signed up for twitter as a way to help promote my business but had very little success. I think I had 3 visitors from twitter users after about 50 tweets. I really didn't start seeing an traffic until I stopped promoting and just tweeted normally. Now 1 in every 10-15 tweets is related to something I'm promoting.

I'm still not impressed with twitter as a business tool though.

I think your tip about not selling on twitter is something we all should pay very close attention to. I lose interest very quickly when I start seeing more and more aff links inside twitter posts.

I agree with the need for people to have a professional Twitter background and I give the mawa FREE on my website.
