The flooding Red River
Standing on the Main Ave bridge between Fargo, ND and Moorhead, MN the water comes up to the bottom of the steel beams. The road and park are under about 20 feet of water as you can see by the light poles sticking out of the river. The next few days will tell whats in store for our area, hopefully the weather plays nice. Tomorrow the Red River is supposed to crest between 41-42 feet, which is more than a foot above the previous record set in the 1800′s.
Evacuated neighborhood in Moorhead
This neighborhood was asked to voluntarily evacuate from their homes in case the Red River broke through the dikes. As you can see it is very empty and quite. Creepy.

Great video but I don’t know that It is terrible what is going on over there. A couple of my friends and I were thinking about going there this weekend to help out. We are only a couple hours away over in Minnesota. I wouldn’t recommend drinking that water.

Does the red river flood every year? I've seen quite a few video a few years back when it did some major damage.
@Great Deals Online, The Red doesn't flood every year but will every so often. When it does it is usually nowhere near this years flood. The highest crest in recorded history for Fargo. But even just a couple years ago quite a few houses along the river had to sandbag to protect against smaller flood levels.
