Super Bowl. The theme of this year’s advertisers is to save money while still generating a buzz. At 3 million dollars per 30-second slot, hardly anyone can blame them. I now introduce to you a brand new marketing idea for the Super Bowl. The 1 second Super Bowl commercial.

@Steve, my favorite were the Doritos commercials. Godaddy ones were pretty good to. Not many others that really stuck out to me.

Come on Josh give us the run down on your favourite commercials. Etrade and Godaddy were on the top of my list.

I saw a commercial for the company I work for and considering they are laying off people all over the place it really got me angry.

This should get very interesting in a very short order. This is the industries way of getting the most for their money and if it works some people will be getting a promotion.

The idea of short to the point and memorable yet not annoying advertising should be a turn on to anyone, but what is most curious to me is how extreme this will get and at what pace?

Only time will tell, in the mean time I am ready for some football, football, football. The commercials, commercials, commercials are sure to rock as well. Here is to hoping they do not disappoint. GO GODADDY!

I think 10 second slots would be ideal, 1 and 3 secs is just too short.

As for the Do you interrupt question, I don't. You know when you go to a website and you start reading an article then everything goes dark and this "sign up for my newsletter" form comes floating in. I hate that. Just like when commercials come on TV, I change the channel.
