It looks like our dear old friend Graham at Entrecard is listing his site for sale. Now Entrecard and the community that goes with it can be yours, well that is if you mesh well with Graham’s vision. The site is listed here on Sitepoint.
If you are in the market for an online advertising company that serves over 80 million impressions to its ads monthly, here you go. Currently the site is generating $2,000 monthly from the sales of ads on the site itself, not across the network. I don’t know how it is possible to only make $2,000 per month while severing 80,000,000+ impressions, but it is true. I am sure the next person in line with some deeper development pockets could tap into more than 80 million ad impressions across more than 20,000 blogs for a much bigger return.
There is a huge potential just waiting to get picked up by the right hands. Now that’s a marketing idea, just buy your own blog ad network.

I wondered how long that was going to take. He can’t be making any money with it. And really I thought that it was going to happen sooner.
I do have to say that I have discovered a LOT of great blogs because of it. Not that it drives any real quality traffic but I am a better blogger because of it.

@BigPappa, I thought it would have happened a lot sooner as well. Want to join forces and buy and ad network? I didn’t know he had a half million angel investment. How was he not able to monetize the site with that much cash flow? Crazy.

@Max, No kidding right! It could have some good potential but would cost some real cash to see it through. Plus the 20k blog on there are probably from 6k people.

yea, I’ve came across a few blogs that I normally drop my card on, they are no longer with EC too.

Yea, need to clean up the dropping list. It’s kinda annoying when you go and drop only to find out that they are no longer with EC but still put up the widget.
