I'm always lazy to go out if raining. But, if the local mart here gives 25% off (or other discount) on rainy day, I'm going there to shop (note: if the rain is not too heavy) :P

Awesome idea! You could even make it a little more fun and do one discount point for anyone that came in on a rainy day and then one that was slightly higher (+5%) if you brought your umbrella or were wearing a raincoat.

It's starting to get downright COLD here in PA...I had my winter coat on yesterday!

One of our car washes used to do this before it changed ownership - they'd sell certificates for one to use on a day that wasn't raining for half off anytime it was rainy/cloudy. I think it's a pretty good idea.

@Bruno, Sometimes I have to wonder why I am still here.

@Ecommerce, Countdown widgets could probably work or integrate a random sales page to display every 1,000 visitors. Its the surprise element that is key to capture.

So how do you translate this to an ecommerce site? Put a wunderground widget on your homepage? Just pondering...

Pretty good Idea if you ask me. I think i've seen a few like this before but only a few.
I know how you feel loving in Northern Ontario it gets pretty chilly here. Last night alone was 3C here or 37F for the US folks. I so dislike winter but if it wasnt for the beautiful scenery in the winter i'd have to move
