I enjoy a good meal out every now and again. The Italian Cottage in Chico, CA, is a well-known local restaurant. It has been voted “best of” a number of times and never has an empty seat during dinner rush. It is even quite full for breakfast (who knew Italian restaurants did breakfast?).
There are a couple of things that really set this restaurant apart from other local Italian restaurants. The very first thing you notice walking in the door is that fact the floor is not only covered but over flowing with sawdust. This is pretty neat until you forget and show up with sandals on. The sawdust adds to the wood setting increasing its coziness. The next thing you notice are the unique outfits the servers wear that really can’t be explained without seeing. I wish I had picture to share.
Needless to say, this is an Italian restaurant in a city with many Italian restaurants, and they have set themselves apart from all others. How do you distinguish yourself from other bloggers like you? What do you present or offer that others don’t?
