Public goals are a great way to market yourself to people. I have added some simple stats and goals to the homepage. I am not trying to boast or brag, but rather make known where I stand and intend on going. When you put your goals and ambitions out for everyone to see, you will have a greater desire to accomplish them.

Right now I am in the midst of paying off the remainder of my consumer debt. As an incentive for me to pay it off I have posted right above my computer pictures of credit cards with grids on them. Each square is worth a dollar amount and when I make a payment I color in the squares. When all the square are colored in I move onto the next largest bill and continue. I can not tell you the great satisfaction it gives me to color in those squares.

Since the blogging world is not able to see my office wall, I will be posting my stats, goals and results on the homepage for the near future. They go as followed:

March Goals

  • Page Views : 30,000
  • Number of Posts : 31+
  • RSS Subscribers : 100

Current Stats

  • Page Views : 293
  • Number of Posts : 13
  • RSS Subscribers : 2

I am sure you might ask yourself how I intend on achieving these goals. I will be talking about my marketing strategies and techniques for achieving these goals throughout the next month. As a little history, I just started this blog less than a week ago. I have also never used wordpress before this blog. This is a completely new idea and experiment for me. I am mostly learning by trial and error. I appreciate all and any input. I have set my goals to be a bit ambitious as a great challenge.
